not your usual clint eastwood flick but then again with mr. eastwood, you never know what to expect. I love his movies and their scripts but this one tops the list now. I kinda liked the way his character developed and even though you could see how he changed from being a "racist asshole" to a Good Samaritan, there was no telling how the story was gonna end. The protagonist was torn between helping his neighbors in crisis and remaining a peaceful Catholic and he was able to do both.

What did you think about it? I thought it was fantastic and was definitely a bitter sweet movie. I loved the plot, the foreshadowing, the morality presented in it (except for the main character being a racist asshole), and of course the acting. I still feel bad about what happened to the girl though
