Said no noble person ever.
GUNS
We’ve got an epidemic of drug zombies and random violence. Being prepared for a bad situation is always best.
So, you came from a life of violence surrounding you? Or you were involved in violence? You would be unapologetically violent towards others because of what surrounded you? Or what you went through. What made you become so bitter towards another human?
I understand the defend part, but to actually walk around with a gun? This is where I don't understand; unless of course there is some criminal activity involved. I mean, there are situations where yea, it would be nice to have had a gun but how many of those situations has actually happened to a person to feel the need to walk around with a gun?
Thanks for the responses, but, why would you carry? What are the reasons?
One last post before bed.
Similar to what Peet said, this area has been seeing considerable fentynal and meth abuse with the associated violent crime. They're catching drug dealers around here with completely illegal firearms all the time. Homes have been invaded by armed men during daylight hours. Meth heads are stealing anything not nailed down to support their habit and woe to anyone that gets in their way. If I carried that would be why but I won't bring a handgun to NY. I'm working hard to get back to PA.
edit: Houses and cars have been shot within a few blocks of my home. My neighbors were broken into while they were home. People at the gas station two blocks away have been robbed at gunpoint with one murdered. I don't want to carry. I want to leave.
I’m not trying to insult you so please don’t take it the wrong way: you’re thinking emotionally.
Every time(and I do mean EVERY time) a town or state institutes open carry the usual bunch of emotional ppl wring their hands and cry about how it will soon be the Wild West.
Except it doesn’t happen. Ever.
In fact it turns out towns that are open carry are some of the SAFEST places in our entire country.
Then you take a look at places that are STRICT with gun control…like Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, the Bronx, LA…what we imagine in our heads will happen in gun free places vs open carry places is almost never what actually happens.
You have absolutely no idea what noble ppl have said or when or under what circumstance.
It’s like you think reality is what Hollywood tells you it is.
You’ve never had to be violent because you’re too privileged to be forced to live around it and too sheltered to recognize its danger.
You’re also likely too weak to do anything about it. But that’s ok. If I didn’t know you and saw someone dragging and choking you I would be “as unapologetically violent as I need to be” to get that person off you.
If the roles were reversed you’d probably call a cop with a 7 min response time and go back to looking at your phone and reading about nobility.

I don't watch (or enjoy) movies, but I have read the Bible.
"I'm unapologetically violent and proud of it" doesn't sound much like Jesus, but hey, maybe you've never been to a church in your life, I'm not here to judge.

"In fact it turns out towns that are open carry are some of the SAFEST places in our entire country." See, I understand this, and I am not insulted as well as not being emotional about this. This thread is not just for me @UnclePeet. My questions towards you are genuine and sincere because you come off real angry and loud and even hateful it seems so yea, I am wondering what happened. The post I quoted from you was probably the quietest and had good information in it. arguable information, nevertheless, good info.
You just said "I'm unapologetically violent and proud of it"
You are literally putting words in my mouth and lying about me mr nobility
Please show me and all of us where I said that.

lol, this? Really?
I was wondering what you'd say, but this is disappointing.
Hateful?
You’ll have to show me an example of this because it seems you’re either confused or making things up.
When you're so bad at it, I don't understand why you bother saying anything.
I'm reminded of my opponent in the game I recently posted here:

Yeah yeah, Christian churches are full of people who adhere to the ideology of "possibly the most violent book ever written."
Said no one who's ever been inside of a Christian church.
Anytime a couple of criminals kills each other IM A HAPPY GUY!
Yea, I think this is where I felt the hateful part.
Deuteronomy 7:1-6
'When the LORD your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them.”
Listen you’re totally clueless make another topic about it and I’ll enlighten you but let’s not derail the thread with basic Old Testament knowledge.
Whenever one gets their wings I’m not hateful; I’m overjoyed.

^^^^ - this. But if you can't and you are stuck in an environment, it makes sense. Where I am at, violence is getting pretty bad, car thefts, armed robberies, home invasions, meth heads, very violent mentally unstable people, but I personally don't find the need to carry. I see the objective and would hope those who do carry are fully trained in some sort of safety courses and would keep those lessons learned. The unfortunate part is people screw it up all the time
@llama47, @UnclePeet - ayooooooooo as much as i'd love to keep the bible convo going...I'm pretty sure it's a no no on some religion or religious rule they have here?
Unless either of you are trying to rail this thread...lol I mean go for it. I know i've had fun on other peoples threads in times past. haha.
