I know you weren't asking me, but in the past some kids have asked me about writing long comments...

... I'm using a keyboard and I'm an adult who knows how to type... as long as I know what I want to say, even when writing multiple paragraphs it takes me less than 5 minutes. I know when you're a little kid on a phone and you can't type it takes a full minute to write a sentence, but not everyone is like that heh.

Sure, politicians use the issue to score political points when in reality (IMO) they don't know or care about trans stuff one way or another. I think of it as purly Machiavellian, but you know... most of these morons being 100 IQ points lower than Mr Machiavelli

Particularly annoying is it's such a small percentage of the population that it's not an important issue one way or another. For example abortions, sure you can run a country either way, but it's pretty obvious how the issue has a large impact on a large percentage of the population... in other words you're not doing your state (or the country) any good by banning transgender stuff, it's just stupid.

It's interesting you post videos and discussion on this topic DL. I think most of the kids don't care and I see how a lot of people think you're a troll, but applying reasonable discussion to what are at times provocative ideas is IMO what an ideal forum would be like... pearls before swine and all that. Like I said before it's too bad I don't strongly disagree with you about something.

Not to start any arguments but how is this topic not locked but other topics on a much less controversial topic locked? I’m not saying it should, but of course, reading through the comments here, there seems to be a bit of tension as not all people on here particularly support or agree with the forum topic. People who create controversial and sometimes ridiculous (not saying this one specifically)topics must expect for some tension to arise. Personally, I do not feel the need to post a controversial topic on a chess site where all it will bring is some agreement and some disagreement. Last thing you need to do is to cause an argument. That’s my two cents.

It's the off-topic section; it's Pride month; it's not trying to be controversial. Pride is celebrated across the world and has been for years, it's ingrained into many cultures at this point.

Almost every topic is controversial in the sense that someone will vehemently disagree and/or get offended. But that shouldn't prevent normal threads on normal topics. This is one of those.

in comparison to other threads about this topic, there isn’t much tension here. One thread that I know where lgbt stuff was discussed however got locked. But I think the reason for that was more that OP was hateful towards transgender people (I think that is the correct term) and it came to the point where the biblical flood was discussed.
