The way it normally works:

Your personal data gets released to the world. The company says it's sorry. A class-action lawsuit is started. You get 30 cents of the settlement, and the lawyers get all the money. The government gives the company a slap on the wrist, and the company continues business as usual.

That’s not good!

I’ll never uses something like that. It seems gimmicky and I don’t like the idea of some business having my DNA on file. But I’m glad some people have used it because it has helped solve crimes.

the only people who got leaked for sure were 1 million ashkenazi jews sad.png i never took it but my family is probably in there because we are ashkenazi and my grandma took a dna test

Well, it's an evolving situation. The attacker *claims* to have data for 7 million accounts. The company has given a somewhat fishy explanation for how the breach occurred. We'll have to stay tuned to see what develops.

damn, i just assumed it was another antisemetic attack and I wasnt too concerned, it just happens too much for it to be shocking to most of us.
