It is becoming clear that Marx & Co. were wrong about the motive force of history being a material dialectic. It's stupid people. Isaac Bashevis Singer put forth in one of his stories that it is the wicked who move history. What if the wicked and the stupid join forces (probably for mistaken reasons) and produce a force so unstoppable that it takes over the planet!!!

Who remembers another group of the same year, and their hit song ... The Turtles, "So Happy Together"?

Two of the group, Flo and Eddie, became comedians.

Ah !   I remember it well...........

So Happy Together was played CONSTANTLY on the radio for one summer when I was a kid.

    Well lets pretend you're 14 again,....and THIS time no smoking that funny stuff.                                                                                                                      

I liked the way it had this lovey-dovey theme but has this ominous crescendo at the end with what sounds like small-talk lyrics "how is the weather..." 

Another hit of that time in the Uk from the US was ' Green Tambourine' .

I enjoy this stroll down Memory Lane, while I still have them!

Update   on  comment 512   My wifes driving licence  story.

About ten days ago on checking the website we saw my wifes application had been moved to ' High Priority'.  We were cheered by this , and on Monday my wife telephoned to ask of progress . She was told there was another bug and the centre told her they could not access the file!

Today she called again , she was told the file was ' ongoing'  , what about the High priority ? 

She was told the file showed no sign of this!!   "We are very busy Madam"

So now , she has e mailed the French Internal affairs Ministry , been in touch with our local Mayor who will put pressure on the Authorities of the site ...........but this is not in reality going to have much effect we feel.

So..............from next Tuesday at midnight my wife cannot drive .      This saga began in March  , 2019, and is still unresolved.

The A.N.T.S   which deals with all this is a Government department , and there are literally thousands of horror stories of its incredible incompetence  , My wife has never spoken to the same person twice, has received conflicting information  and as of now still has no idea when her claim will be actioned .
