How do you get a FIDE rating?

For a while I've wanted a FIDE rating, so I did a little bit of research and learned how to get it. I need an ID, and then I can play in FIDE rated tournaments. The problem is that I don't know how to get an ID. Do I have to fill out some kind of form? What should I do to get a FIDE rating?

Try going to USCF.com and search up Fide ID.

fide rating can't be achieved online by any means, you'll have to play tournament for that and have to draw or win at least 5 titled players (if the rules are not changed yet)... then you'll get a title according to your performance like if your rating crosses 2200, you get CM or Candidate Master.

For id purposes you'll have to contact your chess club (not the one on chess.com)
