How I went from a measly 1400 to a measly 1500 in one day without an engine

Of course I didn't use an engine for that would be cheating. However, I did discover an excellent way to achieve a 100+ point rating difference in one day.
What I did was the following:
I went into my cupboard at home, took out a big ol' meat knife, and cleaved off my right hand (I'm right-handed).
Why did I do this insane thing you ask? I realized that my left-hand did not know the sins of my right hand. After playing only with one hand, my left hand, all day I was able to improve 100 rating points because my mouse-slips were significantly reduced.
