Like the number of your genders, it is all personal preference

There a kid at my school who has 8-9 genders, 1 of which may be cactus

Like this or like that? I run into serious difficulties with more than two. And mine have six. meh

Srsly, 7 is a good number of strings, one for each note.

A lot of jokes could be made about a Cactus Kid. I thought better of it (almost)

@ZattirfVuli - There are twelve notes in an octave, not seven.

Mine is a 5 string

@Eldred : You are correct. Seven whole, or natural notes. Five half-notes, which are sharps and flats.

@2-fakevans : Bassists are in high demand. It's a good instrument for you to know.

Um, @#8, an octave definitely only has seven

Eldred_Woodcock

Yep, it just depends where you live. There's an advantage a guitar has over a piano. A piano is locked to twelve note octaves. A guitar can bend strings or use vibrato to fill the gaps.
