How to Lucid Dream for people with ADHD

Bump.

Still so much fun

Slightly alternate technique that works really well for me but might not be as good for ADHD people

1. Focus lightly on something such as breathing, white noise, etc. (basically light meditation). If you lose track of your focus point, just start again. You are allowed to also think of other things as long as you keep your focus on the point simultaneously.

2. repeat step 1 until you feel close to sleep. You’ll know because at that point you’ll start to really have trouble continuing keeping your focus.

3. Use the technique explained in step 4 of post #1.

4. voila. (If you’re lucky)

I feel like a lot of luck goes into lucid dreaming. You can never guarantee a lucid dream, all you can do is do steps to increase your chances.

Does this work if I don’t have adhd?
Mystersyrious
Cuz I was legit gonna go to bed in 5 mins.

Either way i’m trying it

At first yes. But based on the research, it seems consistent lucidity for long periods of time really is trainable, like a muscle. It’s like the results of light gym workouts every second day versus Olympic training.

Gl my friend. I think you’ll have good chances especially without adhd

BasixWhiteBoy
That’s interesting. Thanks for letting me know and sharing this information with me.
APersonWhoYoyos

And yes it will work

APersonWhoYoyos

Maybe not first try, but at some point it definitely will

Np. Lucid dreaming and neuroscience as a whole is fascinating as a field. If I was going to get into a branch of science as a career, neuroscience would be it. There’s just so much to explore and uncover.

I may try your steps for fun.

Sure. It doesn’t have to be a recent dream, but it helps if it is. It’s best if it’s a recurring dream that you have gotten a lot recently

#74 oh cool
APersonWhoYoyos
How’s it going so far out of curiousity

I've gotten back into this a bit recently, but not as obsessively. Combining the technique mentioned in post #1 with a short wake up after about 4-6 hours of sleep, then going back to bed doing the technique seems to improve the efficiency even more, especially if you use a dream from earlier the same night.

Of course. I just meant it's explained in a short fast way for people with low attention span.
