Since Hitler is so 1940's who would you replace him with? I suppose Tea Party members could replace him with Noam Chomsky (assuming any of them ever heard of Noam Chomsky), while Liberals could replace him with the repulsive gargoyle Ayn Rand and environmentalists could replace him with earth enemy #1 Charles Hurwitz...well you get the idea
PS: Do you think Hitler would have been happier if he had let Hertz put him in the drivers seat?
