Ari taught me what really counted to be popuuular.
He joined early by today’s standards (still not as early as some of the people here today but way earlier than most), so he had a head start in the game of learning how to make a good thread, and then he mysteriously disappeared for awhile before randomly returning which also contributed to it, and then add on the whole drama with his accounts being repeatedly banned and it was kind of guaranteed to happen.
Oh and OTFDAN obviously helped alot (although he was fairly popular way before then)
