These films are neat! Is it special effects? If it is, they did a great jobLaughing

everyone knows that crop circles are made at night because the shadows from the ship make it hard to see the crops.

LOL, those "balls of light" sure look a lot like birds flying to me.  Looks like you can even see their wings flapping!  Except for that one that didn't move.  And that guy that was right next to one, but didn't think to use his camera!  ROFL  Now that crop circle just appearing was neat.  That may have been a trick though.  Crop circles have been proved as being done by men many times now.  Funny as how almost all of them are made at night, no?  LOL

You have a higher quality monitor than I, Karl. I can't see the wings! I've watched it three times now, and they look like some remote controlled things. Where the crop circle just appeared was kind of neat. I replayed that a few times. And yes it is funny, how they strangely happen overnight, a lotLaughing But, I don't buy the story that people keep making them all, that just doesn't make sense. I also don't buy that they occur from an  atmospheric anomaly. I actually don't know what to think. But I think they're neat, and some of them are really beautifulLaughing

Shouldn't the mothership just land off to the side somewhere?Laughing

motherships are too big to stay in the periphial consious, so they can't land.

My monitor isn't that good.  My eyes may have been playing tricks, but it appeared those balls had flapping wings.  I saw a program once that interviewed a team that had made numerous crop circles.  They told exactly how they did it.  Some had been very complex too.  Then demonstrated this by making one.  They gave reasons why they did it too.  I guess that is one reason why you don't see a lot of interest in them anymore.

Yeah, I saw something back in the 90s, where a couple of guys said they did them with wood planks and ropes. But, maybe two years ago, I saw some documentary about how there are man-made CCs, and "real" ones that haven't been explained. That these things are all over the world, and the "real ones" aren't smashed down wheat crops, but rather the part of the wheat that's bent, is somehow "exploded" from inside out!? I haven't read anything on it, all I've done was watch a few documentaries about them(which you could google and watch, if you wish). Kind of interesting stuffLaughing

I can't wait for a waffle-shaped crop circle

planeden

aliens must have a really twisted sense of humor if they fly all this way to draw pictures in crops, mutilate cattle, and probe rednecks and hillbillies.

Fun film.

Remember that Led Zeppelin album with crop circles on it? That was cool. I defy all crop circle skeptics with earnestness and vigor.

@Trysts. In the olden days people used to use album covers to clean variuos leaf-like substances that they would later smoke. Would you, perhaps, know what they use today?

this is trysts recurrent topic. Any trauma?

I've been in two of them just outside Cambridge.  My friend's throw away camera film got all grainy after going into the circles.  oooooh spooky.  I was hoping for transcendental enlightenment or something, but I just got a bunch of wheat in my sandals.  :(

Anyway, trysts, you're right in pointing out that some of the wheat shaft anomalies in crop circles seem not to be explained by people stomping on boards.  Somebody can disabuse me, but I've yet to hear an explanation for the anomalies.

The "scientists" I talked with at Cambridge dismissed the whole thing as a hoax.  When pressed about the weird things about the wheat shafts, they just waved their hands no.  Seemed like they were afraid of being regarded as quacks rather than being dispassionately scientific.

Never go into academia.

Great post, LisaV! Yeah, academia is infected with a disease that attacks inquirey, called "tenure"Laughing

Well today, electricpawn, people use "herbal incense" like K2. A legal substance in many states in the U.S., which requires no cleaningLaughing

A very interesting video. My idea previously to seeing this was that they may have been made by some sort of laser arrangement from a satellite.

If that film is genuine then the balls of light are the agents of crop circle formation. I wouldn't go for ET as I believe ET as been bolted on to UFOs as disinformation. During the second world war many pilots reported "foo fighters" that many think were Third Reich black projects. Indeed I believe the USA under cover of operation paperclip, not only got their hand on rocketry but other stuff as well....

Why Wiltshire ? This is curious and slightly comical. Did I hear the commentator that this had been "globe light hill" or something similiar in ancient times ?

Am I right in thinking that crop circles have become more sophisticated in recent time ? If so,those who support the alien hyopthesis might like to explain how interplanetary travel preceded the perfection of crop circles which must be a fairly simple technology for those travellers !...because crop circles just used to be plain circles ! I don't recall any historical accounts of crop circles as sophisticated as these later one.

If anyone's taking bets, my money is on the military.

Here is a county map of England:

http://www.uk.filo.pl/county_map.htm

Wiltshire is WIL at the bottom in yellow. I understand a lot of the area around the Salisbury Plain (of Stonehenge fame) in Wiltshire is used by the British military: tanks, field guns etc etc Perhaps someone more local or knowledgable or willing to google might like to say more on this possible connection.

I think the military creating crop circles, is definitely in the mix! But the "why?" factor leaves me confused. Now "foo fighters", I don't believe were military from any country. The aeronautical capabilities reported by pilots, were just too bizarre and advanced. And you bring up a great point in that, the crop circles have been reported looong before the seventies, but they were just circles. Now, they're like these gorgeous geometrical patterns, seemingly done so quickly, that it would either take a bunch of people creating each one, undetected (farmers, noone, reporting people or stationary lights in their field in the dead of night, and no evidence of tracks from people, or machines around the newly formed impressions), or some quiet machine(s) deployed to create them. It is really strange, but as LisaV pointed out, peeps that could help, don't want to get involved.Frown
