I have no idea when kids learn things.

Algebra is sometime between 12 and 16 years old I guess, and then at some point they either stop taking math, or start doing pre-college stuff... AFAIK.

Is it cheating for a kid learning how to multiply and divide to use the calculator?

I mean, I guess so... if they use it to cheat.

It's better to use it to check your answers. First do the best you can to solve a problem, then check the answer.
