I smashed my head on the "couch" and got 2 stitches
I Very Nearly Almost Died Today...
Not a near-death experience but it is a true story:
I accidentally ran over some dog sh*t during my morning bike ride. Then, later, I accidentally ran over the remains of a dead opossum.
I just lost my appetite

Poor 'possum. I wonder what his story was.
One morning my Mom was on her way to the grocery and so I stepped outside before she drove away, was about in her ‘blue Toyota Van’ so I yelled lol ‘don’t forget the cheesbread!’ 😂
I was on the porch way yelling to her and my brother saw the door open, thought to shut it and hadn’t noticed my foot on its seem way.. Well, I then proceeded back into the house but as soon as my foot stepped onto the carpet I felt a snug. I looked down to my pinky toe overlapped on my foot and a pool of blood…….. I laughed, actually 😂, and was viewing it as if it were like a scene from one of the afternoon soap operas, like lmao General Hospital and was okay..
What I need to share with you is that I was brought up much in Sunday School and very close with God, my understanding strong in spirit, and I’ve had several wonderful experiences that are like the first post testimony of mine.
Anyhow.. my brother instantly charged outside to stop my Mom from leaving, she came back in rather fast and my Dad frantically saying let’s get you to the clinic, and I returned saying ‘you guys, I’m alright… We rely on the Lord, right? Dad, take me into the bathroom to bandage it up.’ He was a nurse in the service, so he and my brother grabbed each my arms as I hopped into restroom balancing my slightly hanging by flesh pinky toe from coming ripped completely off! lol we got in there, he bandaged it a butterfly and I walked on three straight weeks with not the slightest sense of harm. It matters not if this is believed, however that only haves you less advantage to learn more of my understanding of our true spiritual side of ourselves, and have such same results given you grew firmly in your understanding spiritually, and yes, of course things, such testimonies when being young age were more clearer than to then live and grow older and buy more into the worldly claims of such born into laws, and, mind you, I’m doing my best to word this that it doesn’t have the thread locked because such religious based discussion, so anything further regarding, inquiring anyone’s welcome to direct message me.
When I took the bandage off there was blood, but absolutely no scar whatsoever, as if it had never been sliced and hanging by a slight piece of flesh.
I was nine.
There was this one time where, no, not me almost to die but lol my head nearly yeah was a speedbump for a white van that I was so close to its front driver side tire I could see it’s tread, so lmao I guess you guys would say that was near death. 😂
Lol I had just got off work and was on my scooter 🛵 heading home, was in the center lane to make left and lmao thought I saw my ex’s celica, so my head kept watching to see if that car was going into where I worked, and as I returned my head to drive on the car in front of me was at a lol dead stop, me rather close swerved to the right, lost balance because the sudden’ness of it and my left leg was hit from impact to his bumper. I went flying, watching with me wearing baggy pants my leg flapping everywhere, it looked as if I had cut it off, ended up in the middle lane watching the screeching white van approach roflmao my face ! 😂 I was in a full length leg cast a whole yr, and lol no it wasn’t her! 😆
So, she broke your heart and your leg.
I hope you youngsters are taking notes.
Love hurts.
and I'm beginning to think that white vans are bad news in general...
Lmfao the incidents I’ve described happened just as stated fella 😆
What a coincidence, the car that almost hit us was white too!

You know what they say: If anything bad happens, just laugh it off.
I say that the great Day to come is when the word ‘bad’, or anything remotely in its category is removed from every dictionary! 👍![]()
Even with one foot in the grave, I was still selfless enough to continue my contributions to the chess.com community.
I’m absolutely glad you recovered fantastically
👍, and so sorry to hear that misfortune you had to go through…. and lmao he said still was selfless and contributed to the forums! 😂
….lol more like you’re glad you had the comforting place to return to for removing your boring waiting time to leave your hospital room
Seriously though, that was a rough time. A friend of mine's mother was in the ICU at the same time I was there; she passed away a couple of days that I finally made it out. Another friend of mine died from cancer while I was there (so I missed his funeral). And then another friend of mine died several days after I came home.
It was crazy; I'm still trying to process a lot of it.
dude…. wtf? dang, yeah that’s a lot to deal with. I’m glad that you’re alright yo

Thanks!
That's true; it was very boring. But I met a lot of nurses and they were all very nice and interesting people--I wrote a lot of their names down to remember them. (For a little while I was in too bad a shape to write them down so I forgot them but I wish I remembered all of them.) At first, I hated to be there but when I took a turn for the worst it put a lot of things into perspective for me; I was thankful to be there.
That’s actually fantastic news, and did you good! Not having the bs, but, rather having to overcome it and perhaps help perspectively on things that only benefits you more. I hope it wasn’t too large a penny, or insurance handled the whole thing!
Back in August & September, I was admitted to the ICU because both of my lungs were riddled with blood clots. I was in critical condition. At some point, while I was there I wrote a bunch of haikus about eating hair.

Oh...well then. I don't really know what to say. Especially about those haikus...
Fortunately, Insurance took care of a lot of it but.....I still have a large bill. (oh well. I'm alive so that's what matters.)
I have tried to be better health-wise since then: I drink less, exercise & bike more, and do a lot of yoga.
Even though I have no interest in haikus, I'm glad ya made it!
Uhh..... Perhaps that was a little more descriptive than I wanted, but okay. Gave me some bad images in my head ngl.
Once after getting off the train I had my earphones plugged in listening to something. I walked the normal path home, and was looking down at my phone as I walked, then out of the corner of my eye I see a large white truck fly past me extremely close to my left arm, because I had been slightly walking to the left instead of straight forward because I was paying too much attention to my phone. If I had strayed a little bit further left then it would have hit me and I don't even want to imagine what would have happened. I walked for a few minutes and only then it only dawned on my how close I was to serious injury or death. Maybe a little bit of shock made it take a while to sink in.
Lol who wants to hear an insane one? 🤣
Sure! :-)
