Then if (-1)x(-1) equals -1, then (1+ -1)x(1+ -1) would be 1+-1+-1+-1 =-3 and not 0 ! which it is.

However, -1 x -1 is positive 1, and not -1.

If (-1)×(-1) = -1

Then [(-1)+1][(-1)+1] = 0

(-1)(-1) + (-1)(1) + (1)(-1) + (1)(1) = 0

(-1) + (-1) + (-1) + 1 = 0

-2 = 0

math will fail!

Or another way is Humans must use the symbols - for positive numbers and + for negative numbers.

And that makes +1 < 0 < -1

Multiplying by negative numbers is the same as subtracting that number from 0.
(-1)x(2)=-2
(-1)x(1)=-1
(-1)x(0)=0
(-1)x(-1)=1
(-1)-(-1)=-1+1=0=(-1)x(0)
(-1)-(-1)-(-1)=-1+1+1=(-1)x(-1)
