If You Won The Lottery ...

I would start a career as a natural photographer, since I wouldn't have to worry anymore about whether it is a practical job.

Thanks for the post Macer75, seems like a fun job to me.

One phrase that is sometimes heard is " The Idle Rich " in relation to some people of means who end up being quite bored. This is a bit of a puzzle as such a person could persue any field of study or any hobby that they wanted to. Mind you I've never been in that position so I cannot express how that type of person might feel or think. Smile

Well, bored, obviously. lol

Also, I bet they really envy those who have less money but always seem to be happy. Of course, most of those people would envy the "idle rich" just as much. In the end, everyone thinks that other peoples' lives seem better than their own.

Last year, I was laid off from work over my birthday. I thought, what the heck, I'll buy a ticket.

I was one number away from $250,000 (USD).

Thanks for the new posts.

AlCzervik: Wow, that was a very close call on a very nice prize. However I do hope that at the very least you were able to return to work so as to keep the wolf away from the door.

I was 6 numbers away from £101,000,000  lol. Yell

Cabby, I'm still living in a van down by the river.

Kayak21: Still that is a lot of cash to worry about. I think that $1 or $2 million dollars would be lots of cash for me ( at my age ).

AlCzervik: I remember those skits on Satuday Night Live, a very good one was when George Foreman stopped by. But if you are in the van how do you get a computer to work ?

Avatar of AlCzervik

Library. I only get kicked out when I forget to bathe in the river.

Avatar of cabadenwurt

AlCzervik: Well be careful over there in the river, those strong currents can drag a person away or worse.

Well with a bit of luck my old Computer will allow me to enter a comment here. There is a new question that should be asked in this thread: What would you do if you were 84 years old and won Millions of dollars in a lottery ?

Avatar of macer75

Lol I don't think either of those 2 is possible for me

Avatar of kayak21

If I was 84 and won millions on the lottery I would probably have a heart attack.  Yell

If I had won the lottery at 84 I would probably have not spent the last 15 years in this retirement home with the lousy internet connec

I imagine that getting hundreds of millions of Dollars might be quite a shock at age 84. Also not much time for the person to spent all of that money ( unless they go to about 104 in age ). Charities might be a good idea, such as the COAF ( that is the Cabadenwurt Old Age  Fund ). Laughing

Hi cab, nice to have you back. I'm sure that if any of us on here win it big time we would send you something nice.  Smile

COAF Laughing

They should at least get you a new computer.

Many years ago I had an old VW Van that I slept in a couple of times, just for fun.

I always knew you were a 60's hippy. I hope the van worked well enough to get you to Woodstock on time.
