I'm listening to Miles Davis this morning ...

... what are you listening to as you play? This one is with John Lee Hooker.

I like to listen to jazz or classical when I play.  It seems to be soothing & not distracting.

My first guess is that the younger the player the more likely he listens to music while concentrating on the board.

For me no music is best. I even took to earplugs and it was nice to isolate myself in my little world of concentration.

Of course sometimes I check into my games here while at work, and I have rock music playing there.

I was listening to Miles Davis when I got one of my biggest wins (against someone who repeatedly beat me, against my will as I was forced to play them).It was a funny game, I'll always remember it.
