#25 I’ve seen people get off easier on traffic offences.

Same, like for us speeding is common, and the roads get crowded too, like legitimately I'm scared to drive because of how the driving/traffic is in the RGV

In my school, we have pockets for our phones in class, but not all teachers care about it. We can still use them between periods and at break

Avatar of lyand2025

I've only had my phone taken away twice and I've played games at least 15 times

Yh I just put my calculator in the pocket

The funny thing is though, they don’t have restrictions on smart watches, which makes absolutely zero sense. Like; why can’t I use my phone, but I can use my watch? They can do the exact same things.

They're also banning that too with the new bill here in Texas, it's gonna be smart watches, phones, and tablets (pretty much personal devices) :'D

#35 name one thing a smart watch can do as efficient as a phone.

#41 call people
Avatar of 1AncientConcavenator
Maybe a smart watch would be used for communication but even then you’re hopping that your friends too have a smart watch.
Even if your friends do have a smart watch the typing is super inconvenient
Avatar of 1AncientConcavenator
For this reason most schools don’t see the need to ban watches.

A smart watch can be kept in school more efficiently.

#40 it’s probably gonna happen over here soon too; the’ve already banned them from VCE exams, it won’t be long until they’re just banned altogether.

What's a VCR exam? For me it's the STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) & the TSI

Avatar of 1AncientConcavenator
#49. Really? because in no part of the name does it mention that it’s an assessment
Avatar of 1AncientConcavenator
Well you posted it as…
V ictorian
C urriculum
E ducation
And then added assessment to the end
Avatar of 1AncientConcavenator
Anyways if you went to a school that isn’t public it makes sense that it doesn’t have the states name in it as it’s most likely not funded by the state.
