The finish of your last game...the white knight protects the queen so that's checkmate, sorry. On your second point, a pawn which reaches the 8th rank can promote to a queen, rook, bishop or knight as the player chooses. This is a rule of chess, not an invention of chess.com.

OP (poster of #2 & #3) was confused about why he was checkmated and why pawns became queens upon reaching the 8th rank. This, according to him, was because 'chess.com sucks'.
