insainly hard riddles

for the new house one: it was a lighthouse. he turned off the beam and a ship crashed, killing 365 people.
the Massachusetts one: it was in the 1600's, when Britain controlled the 13 American colonies. the person would be a British citizen.
the man in the rain one: he was bald, so he had no hair to get wet
the three errors one:
1. puzzles has an extra z
2. errors is spelled wrong
3. there are only two errors
the consecutive double letters one: bookkeeper
Well...I don't know what I'm completely supposed to be looking for (by errors, do you mean grammatical, or logical, or something else?), If each thought is a different riddle. I got a few in the minute I looked at it.
- Unfortunately, I couldn't get the first one...but I noticed a couple things. I'll get back to you on that.
- The Massachusetts one, could it be before the U.S. declared a country? While only the colonies existed?
- Could the man walking in the rain have no hair?
- I didn't try any of the word ones, as they usually take longer. I'll get back to you on those, too.

Could it be simply because the text is bold Italic and has a small font (around 14) but still looks big?
