We now have time travel, so don't push it.
We do?
Yeah. Pity that Mr Titor got so many predictions wrong such as a US civil war. There are also strong suspicions that Titor is actually Mr Rick Haber.
Woah, this got revived. Yeah, I kinda want to watch Interstellar now haha.
The transient John Titor is an interesting figure. I don't know much about him though, I need to look him up.

Of course. Fly east to go into the future; west to go into the past. I thought everybody knew that.
Someone needs to invent teleportation
It's theoretically possible, and we've already teleported single quantum particles.
But here’s how I think it could go down… First we'll need to get out of our huge, heavy, energy-hungry bodies. Our physical structure anchors us down from worlds of possibilities. To do this, we have to start out by fully understanding (decoding) and mapping out the brain like we did with the human genome. Then we need to find a way to make digital copies of ourselves. Once we have digital copies of ourselves, we’ll transfer ourselves into machines, which will get smaller and smaller until they're almost as small as atoms. By then we'll have a better understanding of quantum physics and be able to manipulate sub-atomic particles and use them sort of like information bits and get even smaller. After we become sub-atomic beings, we will sail into outer space by piggybacking (surfing on) sound saves or some other type of energy wave. Collectively, billions of beings will travel to the same planet, several light years away. After years of travel, we land on the planet and merge together into bigger machines with limbs and functions (kind of like Voltron but billions of pieces instead of five). Once these super-machines are formed, they will create the proper conditions to enjoy life on that planet. When the environment is stable, all the tiny beings will be reconverted back to larger entities, possibly human-like animals but with synthetic parts (able to enjoy pleasures like sex and pizza).
It would be awesome. :D
But the question I pose is this: Assuming humans don't go extinct for however long, when do you think we will be able to travel between stars? Additionally, when do you think this travel will become commonplace?
