iphone 17e: A hit, or the new flop from last year?

This year in 2026, Apple has announced the iPhone 17e to come out within the next few months. However, is this a hit or a flop? This year we have a dynamic island, and a faster chipset for only $600, as they are keeping the same price as last year's iphone 16e. Is this phone really worth it, as it is still 60z and choppy in refresh rate, yet efficient with Apple's newest chipset. Would you buy this? 🤔

Take into account the iPhone 17 base is only $200 more for better colours, 120hz and pretty good battery life. Having a 60z phone is terrible in day to day use, compared to a 120hz.

#22 Yes, they will hack your data in minutes... That's why people are against Chinese products, there is always that lack of security. Apple is more of a known brand, and is better generally than a cheaper, less known brand, even if it is slightly cheaper.

tbh the iPhone 17e is way better than the 16e but for 600$ it’s still better to buy a refurbished 15 pro atp. A good thing tho is that it got MagSafe. Sadly no Ultra wide cam
The Chip and RAM are good but sighh it still kinda sucks. At least it’s not a ripoff like the 16e…
