Is Chess Bad for your Brain?

Did chess make us crazy, or do crazy people get attracted to chess?
It's a vicious circle I tells you
Oh, how true. It's "the circle of life." Or, perhaps, in keeping with this popular new "chickens and eggs" theme: "the ovoid of life." (Reminds me of that Greek or Roman poet "Ovoid" --- (get it?!) Never mind. I'm not really interested in poetry or the classics -- probably would have been if I hadn't started playing chess because I was crazy and/or gone crazy from playing chess.)
Note: that "egg cross the road" / "inclination" thing made me Groan -- out Loud! !

Distraction from what? Playing chess , being crazy or thinking of chicken and egg jokes.
Speaking of "distraction," am I the only one here who uses chess games and forums to distract myself from anxious, obsessive thoughts about all the important and necessary, but totally noxious life activities in which I should currently be engaged?

I gotta remember to dream! I'll put that on my "To Do" list right now ... well, maybe in a few minutes ... I'm playing chess now ....

Some here are dreaming when they think their topics or posts are worth anyone else's time.
Oh those "some!" They're always "posting!" and ... stuff ... and ... hey, wait .... It's at least Conceivable that not All of My topics and posts are as utterly fascinating as I've been assuming they were! .... hmmm .... once again, Al, you've given me much to think about .... maybe too much ... Now I'm thinking I should probably just Delete this ... but, as you can see ......!
