Having friends you can meet and know in person is always much more rewarding long term, but the internet is a much easier place to connect and meet new people.

Yes, it's better to have friends in real life than online.

No, it is not easier.
You need to have a social place to meet kids your age. Have the courage to walk up to people and have a face-to-face conversation. Sometimes the interaction won't work out, but it usually does.
