Its what we are meant to do. We grow after being raised by our guardians then we continue the cycle. Kinda how every species works.

Yes I know , it was kind-of a joke

Yup, telling kids that everything will be fine is toxic. But you can tell them "don't expect life to be fair but survival is the main purpose after all".

I think everyone at first is like number 1 but we're slowing becoming number 2

1. Have a child who is raised to believe the world is great, everyone is nice, and nothing can ever go wrong. Or...

2. Have a child who is raised to believe that there is no hope in life at all, and does not trust anyone, or anything.

I know you might just choose the first one, but there are also downsides to it:

The child will walk into the world thinking everything will be easy, and everyone will be nice. But that is not true at all. So, in the end they'll end up disappointed, hopeless, and maybe even depressed. Although, there are great parts of life, the child will still end up very let down from what they imagined.

And the second one, I know you might think is worse. The child will go into the world knowing what to expect, although the world isn't always great, it isn't always bad either. So, the child will just always be expecting bad, which is what they will get then, since they are always focused on it, and not the beautiful things in life.

So what mindset do you think is better?

I know people like #2; they can't even function properly in society, and a large percentage of their attention is focused on themselves because of their own fear. The first option is infinitely better because their feet aren't tied down; they can absolutely have the realization that not everything is butterflies and sunflowers, and if they have the right perspective/attitude, take their newfound understanding of the world around them them and apply it to their life
