Is Norton anti-virus worth it?

I've had this for the last 4 years, and i've been paying 7 dollars a month for it. I've had no viruses affect me, so it's doing its job, but I'm interested in lowering the amount i'm paying. Are there other anti-virus services with comparable service but cost less? Which are some of the best?

Thanks!

You could download AVG, it's free.  Then turn off Norton for a month and see if AVG does the job satisfactorily for you.

Talking about free options, I would rather go with Avira.
