Yeah I liked that movie, it kind of broke the mould at the time I recall.

Okay ghostliner I'm wary of entering the threads of others but you've extended a polite invitation and I'd like to express an opinion .

I'd say yes Satan is invented . I believe that everything in this universe and beyond is natural .

The supernatural beliefs arise through lack of understanding . It's our attempt to come to terms with the fact we just don't know .

However I believe it's true that right and wrong exists . To remove food from a starving child is wrong . To behave that way is wrong . So it's fair to say that when we talk of satan in a way we are talking about something that's true because we are referring to this wrong that exists .

It's the same with Jesus . When we talk of Jesus we are talking about this right that exists . They are both metaphors .

Maybe the question for me anyway is why are people unsatisfied? Why can't they accept that this is all there is and when you die you cease to exist ?

My own feeling is that if you understood absolutely everything you'd find a place of peace . It's the lack of understanding that brings the hate and the struggle .

Here is the only reality which is real. All others are mere illusions stemming from this one reality.

Jahweh (or god as you call him) created the Universe and all within it and without it.

But there was nothing else in existence when she created everything. So what did s/he create everything from if there was no energy nor matter with which to build said universe?

Think hard now. Jahweh made the whole shebang out of his own energy. So everything we perceive is made from God's energy.

Ergo, we are all equal (yet somehow tweaked just enough so we all appear to be different).

Ergo we are all made from God energy.

Ergo we are all God!

 

Now try to climb out of your tiny minded games and start living life keeping this Truth in mind.

You're entitled to believe whatever you like son, but I didn't launch this boat so someone like you could stroll in here and start ramming your idiotic dogma down everyone's throats. Only a very tiny mind indeed could possibly describe a historical narrative as a "tiny minded game".
