I wanted ty Op I learned things here about horned god from Gaulois and his use as pic' from Catholic to fire others religions.  

concerning Santa Claus = Satan, I remembered for truth peoplebeliving that it was some "reply" : the desire to fire Jesus birth celebration from collective meanings. We may consider that atheisit s in France fight hard against mayors building crèches (stables)  because of law separating state and Religion;  but they do NOTHING against big promotion of Santa Claus, called here Pere Noel, and theaeconomical disater of spendings and consumerism in poor families, public light massive expenses. 

Do u thing it is "God agaisnt Satan again", or just alternance, or pure fruit of imagination of an ole' man, me? Hope we can decipher what I wrote.

Did you get the time to scan that doc on The History of the Horned One? Interesting!! Sometimes we don't recall how everything is so layered & interwoven with a collective past going back 1,000's of years. 

I did indeed, it's fascinating. What has struck me since I launched this boat is the extent to which this is all a part of our collective history, as a species I mean.

Yes indeed a tremendous amount of distortions & abuse. The video made me realise too of how interconnected culture & religion are in regard to the synthesis of archetypes. The Persian influence via Zoroastrianism, the Egyptians & their gods. It was like a aha experience for me, as it became obvious that both those cultures were dominant prior to Abrahamic religions, therefore their influence would be quite profound on what emerged afterwards.

I was also reminded of Joseph Campbell's work, which I find  intriguing as he has the intelligence to make correlations cross culturally via symbolism. For example talking about the symbolic similarities between  the Native American Indians & say Catholic symbols. 

Nature symbolism is common it seems cross culturally. 

A collective consciousness perhaps interdependent upon what comes before & after in the case of Asia & Europe. However with the Indians being in the so called 'New World' & sperated....the question is....how are there still so many common denominators via symbolism?

Ok, I've viewed the videos on pagan symbolism and the historical origins of Satan and I agree, both a real eye-opener. Particularly harrowing is the comment made by the US Military officer who led the siege on Fallujah in 2004: "Our enemy is Satan." Slightly surprised that particular piece of goofball idiocy was allowed into the public domain actually, but there you go.

Would like to see the Joseph Campbell piece too. All good stuff so far, many thanks.

For people considering Satan as NOT invented, bound to some aeternal hell, and considered as bad, they say his best trick is to let know he doesn't exist. 

Here we have some SATAN cults,bounded to cemeteries celebrations, black sabbath fests for real, some rituels satanics etc ...

Does it too in UK and Cornwall ?
