The state of being wet - covered in liquid.
Water is the liquid. Water is what gets things wet. Water isn’t wet by itself.

then how is it getting things wet without being wet?

that means water is wet

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why?

This has been a controversial topic for many years........                                                                            I want your opinions. Comment what yours is. Please don't be rude but please do argue                      I personally think WATER IS WET. It can't get something wet if it itself is not wet. If you put water on your hand and you transfer it to the counter, your hand got wet. Water (which is wet) got the counter wet (which was dry). Therefore if water is not wet then how does it get other things wet.

THE ANSWER IS NO ACTUALLY

Water isn't wet because it is a liquid that wets things. Once you come into contact with water you become wet. Until then water is liquid and you are dry.

If water makes things wet, it must have "wetness" inside it, which makes water wet

Yeah In your dreams

correct

correct

Benjibass

Water is not wet it in itself is a substance and wet means to have something with water on or spmetimes inside it. Like sand can not make things dry since dryness is not a substance is is a state, or should i say, more of a feeling.

its lizy and we cant be friends anymore lol

Hawaiian_King
it’s not a gas. it’s formed from two molecules that can be in gaseous form but when the atoms combine they make a liquid (water) which is a substance in aquaeous form making it wet. and even your argument of it being a gas is incorrect because the gas form of H2O is steam which if you feel is also wet
Hawaiian_King
just my two cents 🤷🏽‍♂️
Onyx-Lightning

you FEEL it being wet it being wet now the argument is if one molecule itself id wet to another molecule
