This game always makes me nervous. I've been a Jets fan since I was 5 and I learned very quickly not to like the Patriots. This is going to be an awesome game.

The Pats had 11 days to prepare for a revenge game against a slightly overrated team that was talking up a storm; how was a blowout surprising?
giving up on a good team after one bad game? I've been with this team for over 30 years and have never given up

Mark,
That is what I call perseverance. I have been with the Eagles since I knew what sports meant, and they have never won anything. But I am gonna stay with them, nonetheless!!
Yup. I was 5 when I first watched and understood football, and the Jets have been my team since. I still long for a Championship.
I've been with the N.Y. Rangers almost all of my life, and could've died very happy back in '94.
I'm used to good luck and Championships with the Yankees being a life-long fan of that team. The Jets are the only team that I have yet to see win, and I will never leave their side.

I have a few teams that I would like to see win... The Phi Eagles, and the Calgary Flames in hockey. I could have died happy in '04, and '07 when the 'Sox won the series, but I long for a Super Bowl w/the Eagles.

In baseball, I've been a Yankees fan all of my life, but football has been hard for me. I've been stuck between the Philly Eagles and the NY Jets, because my dad is a Jets fan and 'Drip (who is a really good friend) is an Eagles fan. I've kind of been switching back and forth, and I'm having trouble getting consistency (you caqn kind of call me a 2nd class NFL fan :P). The NBA and NHL are more like the minor sports for me, my teams are the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia Flyers/New Jersey Devils. I always try to find more sports that interest me because there's a point in the year when baseball and football are idle. So I also like NCAA football ad hoops. My favorite football teams are Temple and Oklahoma, while my favorite hoops teams are Michigan State and St. Joseph's.
Only once, during the time which I was old enough I've celebrated a championship, and that's the Yankees (which is a pretty easy guess lol). I'm afraid my next few will come from the Yanks.
Hello
Yay! Just what the forums need. Another mindless bumper with nothing to contribute to the topic.
Ummm, The jets lost 45-3!!!!!! WHAT UP!!??
They are gonna still win the division, though...
The Patriots cooked them
First of all, I know that nobody here is interested in football, but I just made this so friends who do can see it. I'm a Jets fan, so... I'll just be listing the pros they have in this game... As I'll find it boring trying to list the pats' scarcity of pros
.
Jets Defense vs Patriots Offense: What is there to worry about? Tom Brady. However, Brady might end up with a nightmare; because without Moss, the Jets don't need to waste Revis on him anymore. When Moss was with New England, Welker was wide open most of the game but now with Mosss gone it would make sense to throw Revis on him, and Cromartie on someone like Hernandez. The run shouldn't be too difficult to predict. The Jets are fourth in rush-defense by allowing just 86.3 rush yards per game, while New England is 16th in rushing yards per game with 112.5 yards. New York is 12th in pass-defense allowing 210.6 passing yards per game, while New England's pass-offense is 16th with 245.7 pass yards per game.
PREDICTION: New England's Offense
Pass Yards: 239 Rush Yards: 92 Points: 20
Jets Offense vs Patriots Defense: Last game between these two teams, Sanchez tore up New England's secondary with 220 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions; and that was without Santonio Holmes, already Mark's favorite receiver. Will this be a field day for Mark Sanchez and company? Well, New England's young and inexperienced young secondary is dead last in pass yards allowed with 288.5 ypg. It could be, because New England also has to worry about the NFL's second best rushing-attack that averages 148.1 ypg.
PREDICTION: New York's Offense
Pass Yards: 278 Rush Yards: 121 Points: 24
WHY: Considering the way the Jets' offense matches up with New England's defense, I'm being quite generous with the pats. New England's offense must score at least 10 points in the second quarter, since they were shut down in the first, third, and fourth quarters. The Jets have given up a total of 17 points in the first quarter, in 11 games! In the last three games between these two, the Jets have allowed 7 points in the second half, that's a total of 7 points in 90 minutes. So, that's why I think the second quarter is huge for the pats.
