Idk about that. I’m learning several languages right now: Spanish, Japanese, Latin, and Mandoa (the language of the Mandalorians. I’ve kinda put it on hold for now, though). It depends on where in the world you live, but Latin is actually a great language to learn. Apparently people who study Latin do better on the English ACT (or maybe it’s the SAT, idk), since they can break down unfamiliar words into their Latin roots. It also helps if you ever want to go to the Vatican. Latin evolved into several languages we use now: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, and to an extent, English (it mostly comes from German, but Latin was an influence). So it will make learning those languages easier. As to actually studying a language, I recommend watching TV. Most DVDs and streaming platforms have options to change the language, so it would be easy and fun to just watch a show in another language. I usually watch kids shows so that I learn basic grammar first.

I speak English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindustani (technically a lingua Franca) fluently and am learning Spanish. It’s easy if you have a background in other languages—otherwise I don’t really know.

Im german and polish both sides of my family, my great grandparents were immigrants im basically just not an american, none of my family were colonists lol so weird to think about, i dont know anything about either country either, besides sausages beer rammstein and the autobahn lol

The pilgrims were immagrants, and my definition of American is being a citizen of America. I also book on the history of Poland's boundaries, and apparentally, Lithuania and Poland used to be one country.
