Back to OP. We, none of us, choose our gender, race, nationality, age, orientation. All of these are outside of our control so none should be anything we are discriminated against for. Being LGBT isn't anything anyone chooses but still people can judge you for it. The same as skin colour, age etc. What makes a person good or bad or cool or uncool are the choices they make after being dropped into a life they did not pick

I guess names can be changed... Even if it is small... I was Michael but I chose to be Mike. Hair colour too.... But basically we have little choice in these things. We should be defined more by our choices... Even Dumbledore says so :)

My nephew identifies as gay. My 2 adopted sisters identify as lesbian. Maybe people are scared about things they don't know. I took my sisters gay male friends to the pub after they were so good to her. They were surprised but I said that I didn't expect every woman in the world to fancy me so why would every bloke. They laughed and said they wish everyone said that

I had to repent of my homophobia. As a youth pastor in a baptist church I had misinterpreted much and needed to be enlightened.
I am really touched by this and makes me feel better because of my sexual preferences (bi)
