I disagree completely and also I am happy that there is a competitor for Chess.com
lichess
am really worried about the new coming feature of lichess "Lichess Tutor"
this thing will surpass anything & will give lichess a firm reputation.

Aimchess already has something similar, comparing various metrics vs peers, if that's what was on your mind.
The advantage of Lichess is that it is open source, meaning that you'll find other projects (github, websites) improving on its existing architecture.
frankly am having a hard time choosing between cc & lichess.
There's no requirement to choose between them. I play on both sites each day, and have done so for a long time.
chess is chess, play on whichever site you feel more comfortable in. It doesn't have to be a competition

Why are you worried ? You can choose between either one, can't you ? It's good, if anything.
like i said, it's hard to choose but found some helpful replies here.
anyway thanks for your replies.
number of online games on lichess heavily increased in period 2015-2019, which is in parallel to decline of other free server, fics, in same period. plus, they managed to attract top players.
just maintaining so big thing takes lots of workhours and money, i dont know how far it can go with donations only.
perhaps some it expert here here might tell us more about.
Lichess basically has everything chess.com has but doesn't have a paywall due to being a nonprofit. Given the fact chess.com is raising their prices further (blows my mind considering everything they charge for literally costs nothing and only has value due to denying you access) I imagine quite a few people will be searching for something that doesn't cost as much or anything. Top that with the fact they even charge to "verify" your account (there's literally nothing they do outside of just charging you another $15 on top of your membership fee) and I could easily see people leaving in droves. I play on just about every site and am only on here to play with a few friends/family. Only thing I can really give chess.com is they have a better app as Lichess' app is pretty bad and lacks a ton of features that the website does. There's some decent competition on Fide's chess arena as well. There isn't necessarily a "bad" site amongst the aforementioned, just personal preference really and whether you're willing to pay or not.
Was tredtzye, deleted after some dude called me a stupid fool, bout what? Got back to studying chess afterwards, so much for the break, but rest is good and exercise is even better, both are underestimated by chess players, talking bout tactics.
