I wanted to try to learn more about the fabric of nature as I wanted to evolve my notes for dealing with OCD. I've come to accept though that my understanding is complete.

I find that though I understand that much of what we experience as real is an illusion nonetheless that illusion continues.

It's just a natural result of his things are. We can understand it's an illusion but the illusion persists.

TomGa
I'll give you an analogy.

We imagine ourselves to be stationery. This experience persists. It doesn't matter how knowledgable we are about the fact the earth is spinning and the galaxy moving and the universe expanding. Still we experience ourselves to be stationery
TomGa
That's a part of nature too.
TomGa
Anyway I think I'm no longer confused. I suppose that sometimes we have to accept the illusion to an extent to be happy.

Though I know that all around me is just energy it's helpful in terms of being healthy to imagine that things are a particular way.

Nice Kay.

In particular its helpful to me to pretend choice exists.

We can imagine, but we can't believe. There's something inside us doing the exact opposite of what we want us to do. That's where stress comes from. We can't deal with this part, so we cope with it. We do crazy things because of this.

This part is known as the heart.

Hawking talked about this kind of thing. He said that really everything in terms of human behaviour is just nature doing its thing.

But nature is so complicated that we can't possibly know what a person will do from one minute to the next.

So we use the free will model as an working model. So we can roughly estimate what to expect from people.

If we knew absolutely everything about all the cells and chemicals that make up that person then we'd know accurately what that person would do in any given situation.
TomGa
I like your profile picture too. If I'm honest I enjoy every time I see an actual photo of a person. It's nice seeing people that are talking.
TomGa
That's poetic Ilike.

It's true that at times there is conflict within a person.

For me it's about layers.

So it depends how deeply you want to look.

Like I can talk about how I love my wife or I can talk about the chemicals that are involved or I can talk about the illusion that either of us exist.

That's last comment made me laugh.

At least it means I can't get wrong for not doing the dishes!

Take my hand let me stand where no one stands alone

Ilike I'm not saying people aren't interesting. Only that they are as part of nature every bit as much as a sunset. Why wouldn't they be?

So cling to your illusion of self. You've no choice about it anyway.

It's cold in England tonight

I can't say that my view brings me happiness. I feel a peace though. An acceptance. There's nothing to rally against or get worked up about. Let me take you to strawberry fields. Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
TomGa
Anyway I've found my truth. Maybe I might talk about something else now! I'll see.

That's interesting. You guys are talking about failings. My behaviour isn't perfect and I worry about that
TomGa
I don't want to upset anyone or let anyone down
