I was just watching the Hobbit with my son.....I have to say, not a fan of these type of movies BUT the "Lord of the Rings" and now the series of "The Hobbit" are well made movies....I was pretty well entertained watching the movies and they are LONG! My favorite is Sam....love his roll n that movie....the message he gives about friendship is amazing

Thank you Talfan1.....I asked my son if he picked up the message from the movie and was really surprised when he said "yes mom.....Sam was a true friend mom". LOL I like movies with positive messages and I thought this movie had a few....

I agree Annabella: The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings have excellent messages. Foremost are true friendship and loyalty, followed closely by the message that everyone, big or small, heroic or normal, can make a big difference with courage.
