Lucid Dream Help

This is the place to learn how to lucid dream if you are stuck, or help people lucid dream if you are already a pro. I will try to answer every comment, so you questions will almost certainly be answered (I don’t have a degree in psychology or anything so my answers might not be perfect, but I’ve been improving quickly!)

I also have a lucid dreaming club that needs members, but no pressure to join:

I remember seeing some tutorial which basically said that if you go to bed then repeat i know i am in a dream in your head until you go to bed

I had a lucid dream that night
Avatar of ChessClearBelt

Hmm, that’s a way of doing it @YauNingC2. It certainly helps. I use daytime MILD, affirmations like yours, critical thinking reality checks, and traditional reality checks, although I’m thinking of getting a LILD mask (maybe not worth it.)

Out of curiosity, what level of control did you have in the lucid dream, or didn’t you experiment? Do you continue trying to lucid dream?

I’ve never lucid dreamed before
I’ve tried multiple different methods
None worked

@Iconic-freeze,

I’ve had that too. I was half-asleep but started to dream, and realized that my dream eyes weren’t real, and that I could open my real eyes and wake up. I probably should have tried to fall fully asleep, but it’s okay.

@ApexVortex,

I’m curious what methods you tried, would need more details to see where you went wrong (if you went wrong) but I have been doing what I said I was doing in the intro and have also been keeping a dream journal (I highly recommend it.)

Avatar of ChessClearBelt

@Iconic-freeze Yeah, it was pretty interesting to be “between worlds.” However, I’ve had lucid dreams where I was fully asleep, and it was undoubtedly better.

Avatar of ChessClearBelt

@ApexVortex, what do you mean? I thought you tried several methods?

I remember having this one goal to just be in a dream and then say “im in a dream so i can do whatever i want”

It took me ages

And at the time i did it

I wasn’t even lucid dreaming 🥀
Avatar of ChessClearBelt

Yeah…that’s rough.

#24, so you’re saying that lucid dreams just happen, and there aren’t any real methods to induce them?

Avatar of ChessClearBelt

@YauNingC2,

It can be disheartening to not have any lucid dreams despite trying. My methods only take a few minutes, don’t lose me any sleep, and seem to work for me, despite not being super involved ones. I recommend trying to train to lucid dreams by doing reality checks in real life when something unusual happens.Eventually, you will do that in your dreams (all dreams have inconsistencies that wouldn’t happen in real life, big or small.) Keeping a dream journal helps you identify dream signs that you can notice later

Avatar of ChessClearBelt

@ApexVortex, there are lots of methods to induce them!
