I don’t know. Honestly. And I’ve spent a LOT of time trying to figure it out.

Maybe they just don't see. Did your class have any global warming/homelessness discussions when you were like, in elementary or somethin?

How about making chess an option all schools that could be quite interesting.

HorribleTomato

Maybe as a workshop, yeah... chess apparently teaches some important thinking skills so why not?

thegreatauk

Yes there has been debate but I think it would be good for the school. Personally I have never been to school so I don't know that much.

thegreatauk

Maybe make KOTL compulsoryhappy.png JK. but maybe shorter sitting sessions (keeps concentration level higher) and teaching life skills.

Yeah. Maybe stretch sessions mandatory 50% of the way

Maybe programs such as Hour of Chess

You know, there’s something interesting I’m finding. It seems that a lot of people on chess.com are pretty smart. The question is, are they smart because they play chess or do they play chess because they are smart?

Honestly, if a kid doesn’t like chess, he’ll just hate it. The only way to get really good at anything is if you really enjoy it.

HorribleTomato

Yeah, but 95% of kids never tried chess

soooooooooooooooooooooooooo

So, make history connect to current events, correct? Make very advanced literature classes and math classes optional and provide other options in replacement...
