Marvel Vs. DC
did you really need to kill star-lord?
Well I didn't have to kill him in particular, but it advances the story in a nice way, so I did. To quote Thanos, "The hardest choices require the strongest wills."
Star wars wins. Star Wars has Yoda, Obi wan with his wit, R2 and C-3PO, Han Solo RIP, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and Emperor Palpitine. Name one of those things either Marvel or DC has. Can't? That's why Star Wars is better. XD
Obi-Wan's wit: Destroyed by Tony's wit
Yoda: He's pretty much the leader of the Jedi, but he's not as cool as Nick Fury leading S.H.I.E.L.D.
R2-D2 and C-3PO: Rocket and Groot are a better pair
Han Solo: Star Lord is better
Darth Maul: Just a filler villain like Ultron, but Ultron was better because it was James Spader
Darth Vader becoming good again: Loki made it more interesting to turn from bad to good
Emperor Palpatine: Thanos is better BY FAR
According to you. Darth Maul and Ultron have no comparison. It's like comparing a tin can to a ninja with a red lightsaber. Oh yeah, it really is... How is Thanos better than Palpitine? And Darth Vader would totally beat Loki up. Obi Wan is awesome cuz' hes a jedi and Tony isnt. Yoda is better than Nick Fury, but Nick Fury is still cool because he played Mace Windu. R2 and 3PO is better because... It wouldn't be Star Wars without them.
I get the feeling that this is one of those thing that there's no point arguing about, because we'll never agree on it XD
Hey, arguing creates popularity. Nobody comes back to a forum where everyone agrees.

I'm dying of laughter right now imagining Yoda getting swallowed by Goose
Chapter 4
The council that met at Stark Tower that afternoon had reached an important decision: put all heroes on high alert, and keep an eye on any activity coming from the Negative Zone. From his homeworld of Attilan, Black Bolt and his wife Medusa would organize their fellow Inhumans and the inhabitants of the planets; Black Bolt being King of Attilan. Namor, being more of an antihero than anything else, promised that if needed, he would send aid from Atlantis. Otherwise, he would stay out of the conflict. Strange would do what he could in the mystical side of things, and Black Panther promised to begin sending out shipments of vibranium weapons. Xavier and Stark would prepare teams within the X-Men and Avengers, respectively, and send them out to guard different planets throughout the universe. A portion of this task would also be done by S.H.I.E.L.D., under Fury’s supervision. So it was that now, a few days after the Fantastic Four were originally taken prisoner, Iron Man spoke to his fellow Avengers at the Avengers Facility. He gave them the rundown of what had taken place, and asked for their thoughts.
“Do we have any word from Thor? If anyone could have escaped, it would have been him.” Bruce Banner asked nervously.
“Nothing whatsoever.” Stark replied. “I’m afraid that we can’t count on his help for the time being.”
“Could this possibly be Thanos again? I know we threw him out into space on the verge of the death, but Thanos was never an easy target. Maybe he’s found a way to come back. You never know.” Ant-Man reasoned.
“Thanks for the ray of sunshine, Thumbelina.” Stark snapped back. “Although, to be honest, I guess I’m a bit worried about that as well. I hope it’s not Thanos, but we can’t rule that out entirely.” He looked around at the others, some of whom seemed quite concerned at the thought.
“But Thanos certainly isn’t a human with a cape, like Franklin Richards described.” Black Widow pointed out. “He’s a kid, he didn’t know what he was talking about. Kids are dumb.” War Machine responded. “Hey, I take offense at that!” called out Peter Parker.
“Everyone, let’s just put aside our thoughts about Thanos and focus on what we know.” Vision cut in. “Our priorities right now are to keep our universe safe, and rescue our friends if we can, so let’s concentrate on that. Stark, how do you want us to proceed?”
“That’s a good question Vision, and I’m glad at least someone here is trying to stay on-topic. There are several planets that need superheroes at the moment, so here’s what I’m thinking. Vision and Wanda, you could help out on Korbin. Beta Ray Bill would usually be there to defend it, but he’s currently helping Heimdall on Asgard. Rhodey and Banner, Morag will be a good place for you to go. Scott, Hope, we’ll need you on Zenn-La since Silver Surfer is occupied with other matters. Parker and I will head to Contraxia, and Cap here will be in charge of the rest of you. Earth’s villains might see this as a chance to cause some mayhem, so we need ground support. How does that sound?”
“Wouldn’t it be safer for all of us to be together, though? We stand a better chance as a small army rather than 2 at a time.” Cap said. Hawkeye and Bucky nodded in agreement.
“Problem is, we don’t know where this guy and anyone else who comes with him, will show up. Contraxia is one of the closest planets to the Negative Zone; that’s why I’m placing myself and Parker there. But they may have transportation technology that we don’t know about, so I don’t wanna take any chances. If one of us sees him, then we alert the others to the fact and try to slow him down. It’s the best we can do until we learn more about this guy.” Stark said.
A bit more discussion ensued, but in the end the others agreed to Stark’s plan. The meeting concluded, and everyone left to get ready for their own missions. Stark stayed behind to work on a few things, and while he was working, glanced up and noticed that Spider-Man was still there.
“How you doing, kid?” Stark asked him.
“I’m ok, Mr. Stark. I mean, as ok as circumstances allow. I’m not too keen on the idea of going to space again. Last time, well, wasn’t a good experience, as you know.”
“I know, kid. But you’ll be fine this time. You’ve had a lot more experience since then, and we have better technology. I’ll make sure you get out fine if anything goes wrong.” he shot Parker a smile.
A pause ensued for a couple moment. “Uh, Mr. Stark, forgive me if I’m being nosy, but I think there’s something else on your mind. Do you wanna tell me? I know that sharing stuff often helps me get through tough times. Like when Uncle Ben died, I think the only reason I made it through was because I shared my feelings with others.”
“You know, that’s good advice kid. I guess I should tell someone; but I don’t wanna make you worry any more than you have to.”
“It’s ok, Mr. Stark, if we’re going to work together again, then I want to help you as much as possible. Please, just tell me what’s on your mind.”
Stark considered whether that would be the best option, and eventually he gave in. “Fine, kid, I’ll tell you. Just, don’t go blabbering about it to everyone, ok?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. Your secret’s safe with me. Now, if you were talking to Scott on the other hand…” Peter smiled, and Stark laughed.
“Well, kid, here’s what’s bothering me. Remember how after Thanos was defeated we gave each Infinity Stone to a hero, and kept their identities a secret to protect them?”
“Yeah, I remember that. Why?”
“Let me tell you what we did with the Stones. Strange kept the Time Stone and the Collector the Reality Stone. They offered to keep taking care of them, so we arranged that. Nova took the Power Stone, and Heimdall the Space Stone. After we succeeding in creating a Vision that had no need of the Mind Stone, we needed to find a new caretaker for it. Adam Warlock offered to do it, and he now has it. That leaves one stone: the Soul Stone.”
“What did you do with it?” Peter asked.
Stark took a while to respond. “We gave it to Gamora. She asked for it, said she would keep in a small safe aboard the Benatar and guard it with her life. If Thanos really has returned, and the doings in the Negative Zone are his fault, then he might already have a Stone.”
Silence filled the room for a minute before Spider-Man said anything. “Well, Mr. Stark, we’ll just have to fight a bit harder. Everything will be alright in the end. You just gotta have faith.”
“Wise words from a wise kid. Thank you, Peter.” The two of them embraced, knowing that a dangerous storm was brewing within their universe.
“Well, have you contacted everyone?” Superman asked of Cyborg. The 7 members had gathered within the Justice League Watchtower, and they were all worried about the threat on the other side of the portal. Superman declared the fight to be “An act of war”, and he was certainly treating it like one. He had instructed Cyborg to alert as many heroes as possible about the situation, and asked that everyone who could come, would come. Now, he was asking Cyborg how well it had gone.
“It’s working pretty well, I must say. We have a nice amount of volunteers; even Jonah Hex and Swamp Thing said they’d be down to join. The Doom Patrol and a few others said they’re too busy, but a lot of others are coming.” came Cyborg's reply.
“That’s good.” Superman said. “We still need some superheroes here on ground level, so it’ll be good to have people like the Doom Patrol stay behind.”
“But Clark, I think you’re being a bit too rash. Bringing a small army of superheroes to go fight these other people? First of all, I don’t believe that they’re bad guys. Second, villains will use this as a chance to create more mayhem than they ever have before. This is illogical.” Diana said.
“There aren’t any villains to worry about!” Bruce interjected. “We’ve had literally no trouble since Darkseid’s last attempt to destroy the universe, and that was five years ago. This is, in fact, the best time that we could have to go after the enemy.”
“Well what if I was to tell all of you, that I know for a fact that those ‘enemies’ are actually harmless?” Diana replied. Everyone stared at her like she was crazy. She was about to go on, but Clark stopped her.
“Diana, I don’t want to hear you talking like that, ok? It almost sounds like you’ve joined the enemy yourself.”
This was not at all like Clark. Something seemed fishy to Diana, but she couldn’t tell what. For the time being, she decided to just let it go.
“Fine, I won’t bring it up again. I was just saying that it’s a possibility.”
“That possibility is no longer possible after they attacked us yesterday.” Aquaman pointed out, and Flash and Green Lantern agreed with him.
“Anyway, here’s my plan. First, how’s that portal looking, Hal? Any changes?”
“Actually, yes. It’s grown in size and now covers the whole alleyway and part of the building.” The coolness with which Hal said this surprised everyone.
“Well, that does actually help out.” Superman said. We can fit more people in at a time, and it will be easier to get the LabBots in.”
“LabBots?” The others asked in unison.
“Oh yeah, you don’t know about them yet. You know LabMax, the group I’ve been working with that built the underwater prison? Well a few years ago, I asked them to build some robots for me that could be useful for peacekeeping. Well, I now have a large amount of these LabBots due to LabMax, and I was thinking that we use them as backup for our attack.
“Wow, this is turning into a full-blown invasion.” Aquaman said. “Which probably means a lot of fighting. I’m down.”
“I guess we might as well use them, since we have them available. It would be nice to have the advantage in numbers.” Cyborg said.
They discussed it more and, despite Wonder Woman’s insistence that it was a bad idea, they decided to use the robots.
“Now that we have that issue settled,” Superman continued, “Let’s plan out exactly how we’re gonna do this.”
Thor had just finished burying the bodies of Star-Lord and Mantis. He had come across the scene of the battle soon after the Justice League had left, and he was shocked at what he found. He felt anger coursing through his veins as he saw their lifeless forms, and he vowed that he would revenge them somehow. But now he was faced with a choice. Return to Asgard first and gather his army, and risk never catching the trail of the murderers; or go alone, now, and fight them. After some thinking, he chose the former option. Lifting Mjolnir into the sky, he called out for Heimdall to summon the Bifrost. He waited, but nothing happened. He tried again; still nothing. Again he attempted to get Heimdall’s attention, but still nothing.
“This must be the will of Fate, then.” Thor thought to himself. “My only path now is to go through the portal myself.” Thor didn’t realize that Heimdall, now having to deal with running Asgard as well as the Bifrost, was too busy and didn’t notice Thor. Understanding it as the will of Fate, Thor took a deep breath and walked through the portal and into Metropolis.
On an isolated planet in the universe, one that was uninhabited and usually forgotten about, two aliens sat, each on a throne carved out of stone. Just by the look of them, you could tell they were evil. The first person turned and began speaking to the second.
“Have you any news from your realm?”
“Yes, I do.” the other one responded. “My sources tell me that all is going well. All of them have fallen into the trap except for one, but she is no problem for the time being.”
“Very good.” the first one replied. “I’m surprised how easily they have fallen into our hands. Too much success has made them unsuspecting. Pride comes before the fall, they say.” His speech was interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching the two thrones. He turned, and saw one of his servants, a man with black hair and a horned helmet, kneeling before him.
“Rise up.” he said to the servant, and he did as told. “And what news do you bring to me, Loki, son of Laufey?”
“My lord, I bring you good news.” Loki responded. “The man set no watch upon the Stone. I easily snuck into his tower and stole it. I don’t believe he’ll even miss it.” Here Loki opened his left hand, revealing the Soul Stone.
“Well done, Loki. You know where to put it.” the first man said. “But before you do, I want to give you my next assignment.”
“I am at your service, my lord.” Loki said, kneeling once again.
“From what I’ve heard, Thor is not dead. I want you to track him down and kill him for me.”
“Kill him, my lord?”
“Have you no ears, Loki? Thor, your brother. I would like to have him out of the way as soon as possible. Do this, and return to me. Is that understood?”
“Yes, certainly. I will not fail you, Master.”
“Good. Let’s hope you don’t.”
