History: For future historians
English: For perfect grammar in business
PE: For future athletes
Religion: For future people who teach/do studies in religion (priest, uztadz, etc)
Math: For future mathematicians
Physics: For future physicists
Music: For future musicians
Etc

History is needed for debates in some other subjects. For an example in my country there are so many religion debates. People can simply say that a thing in your religion don't have a clear origin if we don't have a thing called history
