Let’s not be dumb here. 90% of what school teaches us we don’t use in our lives ever. It’s to prepare us for adulthood more than anything.

It is all about the coach
If you have a good coach, even if it is the same dayum stuff, the good coach will be more helpful then the bad one

You can’t know that

Why? As we have repeated already, knowledge of past events helps us prevent future disaster. Also, remember the Cold War?

90% of what school teaches DOESNT help with adulthood
Hyper-N0va
History is extremely important, and you learn to appreciate it when you get older.
Peskybird1234
It doesn’t help tho
Hyper-N0va

Also true. But it’s all depending on your career path. History is useful to scholars. Physics is useful to engineers.

No subject can be truly useless because of this, because of the uncertainty of the future.

What yall are describing is a society called a ‘UTOPIA’ which is impossible to achieve, due to human nature
And if ur logic is right, then out of fear of WW3, some dude can literally wrong a nation and get away with it cuz they don’t want to start another war
That isn’t how it works tho

So me getting a job as a lawn mower at the local golf course will require me to go through at least 13 years of school?

From a more general standpoint, History is less useful than the others.

You're from Mexico, I see. Fantastic. I mean fantástico!

San Francisco, San Antonio, San Diego, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Colorado, San Jose, Florida, Sacramento, Santa Fe . . . etc

Names that Americans don't even know the meaning of, but now belongs to the United States and not Mexico.

But as the I-talians say, "Forget about it."

You forgot about it?

Mucho gracias.

Ah, sorry, I was reading past posts.

Yeah, post-independence Mexico was… a little turbulent to say the least.

Peskybird1234
Learning nothing useful to that job along the way?

No. But do you want to be a lawn mower at the local golf course? Is that how you want to live your life?

Peskybird1234
Kinda
Peskybird1234
I get really cheap golf rounds for the whole time I work there, and it pays the bills
Peskybird1234
Win win in my book
ChishTheFish

Hyper-N0va

Peskybird1234
