What do you play and your favorite song you can play...

Trumpet and piano. On both I enjoy Hayden's 2nd trumpet concerto.

https://youtu.be/R8QF3LrqKrA sounds like this ignoring the altered trumpet.

I love that piece. Good job.

Favorite? I'm not sure. The hardest for me to learn correctly was Bron-Yr-Aur so I'll claim that one.

I'm thinking about taking up either the electric guitar, the theremin or the Lute

Avatar of I-gray-I
Electric guitar would be more accessible and easier to pick up since there are more resources online and IRL. Plus if you learned the guitar first you could probably pick up the lute fairly quickly since it’s pretty much just a medieval guitar (kinda).

Ok, but what brand should I buy?

Avatar of I-gray-I
How much are you willing to spend?
Avatar of Dramioneisgreat

Depends on how much they go for

Avatar of I-gray-I
Fender is probably one of the best brands. I would get a Squier Stratocaster or Squier Telecaster since they’re cheaper than their normal counterparts but are still good guitars.
Avatar of Dramioneisgreat

Does brand matter when you play a certain kind of musical style?

Avatar of I-gray-I
It more depends on the guitar more than the actual brand. What style(s) are you planning to play?
Avatar of Dramioneisgreat

Either Metal or Industrial

Avatar of I-gray-I
I know PRS has some really good guitars for metal, but they’re a bit pricier
Avatar of Dramioneisgreat

I'm willing to drop the cash for a good guitar
