Here's what I'm really asking "What is FIDE's stance on trans women?" Are they entitled to the status as women or not?

actually im interested to know what FIDE's policy is around trans people. Does a man who believes they're a woman get womens titles, or are they only allowed to get the regular titles?

It should be based on performance and not gender.
I imagine in the future everyone will have to meet the same criteria to get a title.
I just learned the woman's titles are given at lower ratings than the men's titles. I never knew that and I will never understand it either.

I'm not sure either, a lot of people argue you are what you identify. Our most prestigious universities think so. They have implemented gender-neutral bathrooms so men and women can share. I think if our universities are arguing men and women should be equal then it's reasonable to think about having this discussion aswell. Our universities are treating trans-women as women, maybe we should think about letting people who identify as female be allowed to get a female title
