Most of my songs I've heard from games, tv shows, YouTube videos and things like this. I get curious what the original song is called, I look it up and then the good ones I download the mp3 file of manually (using a free mp3 converter). Over the years I have literally over a thousand songs in my collection...all manually selected and downloaded by me and I enjoy them all happy.png

Ignoring is one strategy which works, but that doesn't mean it is the only method and there are also times where standing up for yourself, rather than ignoring, also has merit to it.

The goal of every forum thread creator (not just me with my own threads) should be to keep the discussion on topic to the thread and de-escalate any derailing comments, or re-direct the conversation back to the thread original topic.

In this thread, I was poking fun at how "random" some of my music tastes altered over the course of a single-sitting of chess. Posting similar music topics or something in response to my songs are probably relevant to the thread, but arbitrarily bringing up other things isn't what I subscribed to and I have no issues politely standing up to those situations.

BREAKING: Scientists Discover Exact Number of Legal Chess Positions—And It Has a Name! After decades of speculation, a team of researchers at the International Institute for Computational Logic has done the impossible: calculated the exact number of legal chess positions. The final count? 3,479,247,346,952,187,986,658,124,183 They've named it “The Caïssan Constant” — a tribute to the mythical goddess of chess. Using a supercomputer dubbed Capablanca-X, the team filtered out illegal boards with double kings, pawns on the first or eighth rank, and positions with self-checks. The computation took four years and over 38 million core-hours. “This is the size of chess’s multiverse,” said lead scientist Dr. Eliska Novak. “It’s not infinite. It’s just staggeringly, beautifully vast.” Former World Champion Magnus Carlsen reportedly responded: “Cool!”
