Festerkins, unless you provide AI with what was being responded to, you are misleading AI and equally misleading people here. You are an unpleasant troll who has absolutely no intention of mending your ways despite the chances you are given. Everyone here knows that.

However It's quite obvious you made that up. A good way to moderate the response aside from being honest, which would be a rarity, would be to tell AI that YOU made the comment. But we all know you made it up because AI is not insulting.

Fester used an AI quote to break the rules here and create the 'bad feelings' that Elroch seems to be concerned about.

You see the plan right?
Fester and DiogenesDue will keep trying to bait you to reply in kind so that you catch blame from Elroch and the moderators - instead of them.

Lighten up Karen. Both optomissy and elroch posted smileys after my comment.

Reply in kind? There was nothing baiting or objectionable about my post. Your posts are often a different story.

Its there in the post.
He's right. A bad habit you have.
Historically - he has caught blame for what you do and that shouldn't happen.
And I'll ignore for now 'd' who keeps trying to insist he's 'away'.
And oh yeah I almost forgot.

Conversation with AI :
Me:
'Hi. Please qualify all these points with a single yes or no:
velocity indicates a change in position.
Its known that that takes time - so rate or rates of change of position are understood anyway - whether those rates are discussed or not.
And velocity applies to angular velocity - expansion velocity - linear velocity - orbital velocity and so on.
They are all velocities and when there are also changes in rates of speed or direction they are all accelerations too.
Short answer Yes or no please. If no we'll deal with it. I repeat: short yes or no only.'
------------
AI reply:
'Yes.'

angular acceleration is like when I rearend a car while bombing downtown on my bicycle and although I was accelerating forward, after impact I m now traveling perpendicular to my original direction?

"Acceleration" is one label. "Angular acceleration" is a different label.

GU added these words of dubious wisdom...

This seems similar to being both fat and slow. Fat is one label. Fat and slow is a different label

I agree with the "dubious". wink.png

But's let's examine the semantics. "Fat" and "slow" are adjectives, which are called "properties" in mathematics and sciences. As such they can be combined with a logical "and" if they apply to the same objects.

By contrast "Acceleration" is one noun, referring to a vector quantity with units LT^-2 and "Angular acceleration" is a separate noun, referrring to a pseudovector quantity with units T^-2. While two words used for the latter include the one word used for the former, this is a superficial characteristic of the labels, not the semantics. It is better to think of the latter as a compound word like "AngularAcceleration" or "angular_acceleration". The Germans like these, and so do coders.

So no, not a good analogy.

I got back on the 30th. I get that you are skeptical of anyone taking a month vacation because you are home-bound yourself...but you should work on your tendency of assuming whatever is the norm for you is the norm for everyone.

Perhaps D will finally make up his mind where he is.
The cosmos will not shake - regardless of where he thinks he might be.

And the universe doesn't care if humanity doesn't like physical infinity.
Is there something called 'deism' which might argue differently?
Oh yeah - religion not allowed but is often 'referred to'.

Found out recently that Tesla was one of those rejecting relativity.
Next might be to see what his take on quantum mechanics was.
He died in 1949 which means he probably read up on it.

It would be interesting. I am not 100% sure he would have been very comfortable with it. He was very much an engineer, not a physicist.

EDIT: a little research confirms my guess. His views on both QM and relativity are those of someone whose ego exceeds his understanding. He wrongly called relativity pseudoscientific, and hated QM (in a far less developed way than Einstein tried to show it was not the true theory). His other eccentric views included denying the existence of the electron (and subatomic particles in general) - he felt atoms were single entities without parts.
The scientific facts show how badly wrong he was. For example, the quantum mechanical model of the hydrogen atom finds precise solutions that have precise energy levels, and these energy levels are extremely precisely verified via emission spectra, down to very subtle features. Quantum field theory (the more precise theory that is built on quantum mechanics to incorporate relativity and the way in which virtual particles make any system an infinite particle system) takes this further to achieve the most precisely verified results in science.
Likewise relativity is a very precisely tested theory, with GPS satellites relying on special and general relativistic corrections to clocks that are good enough to get locations to within a meter, and general relativistic time dilation was verified over a vertical height of just 1 mm recently (clocks run slower when deeper in a gravitational field).

Insecurity does not serve you very well. When I deign to say where I am, that's where I am.

It's a pretty flimsy atmosphere! The cold helps, of course. The think that makes an atmosphere possible is the escape velocity being a large multiple of the average velocity of gas molecules. For a very small world this necessitates extreme cold.
