David - you forget one thing. I once believed just as you presently do. It was not until I decided to challenge those beliefs i.e. worldview that I began to see things much differently. If the religion of heliocentrism, which I was a believer in for more than 40 years, actually contained observable and empirical evidences I would never have renounced it. I discovered heliocentric theories are just that....theories. I believed them to be facts because I was taught to believe them as facts.

If an/my Astronomy professor told me/their students to prove heliocentrism via the scientific method..... myself/every student would fail.

If a student was asked to prove the earth flat via the scientific method, all they would need to do is pour water into any size/shape container, show the professor it is level at rest and then ask the professor if the earth is 70 plus percent water?

Simple!

So simple, it goes right over most "educated" peoples heads. They simply cannot grasp the simplicity of it.

That is due to toy globe indoctrination from cradle to grave.

noodles, we are still waiting for you to back up two of your recent bold claims with specific information about why you believe them.

How difficult can this be? Unless you want to entirely hide from reality, of course.

Can you prove they can track their rockets from launch to docking at the ISS uncut/unedited?

No you cannot do so.

Can you prove NASA etc. claims they do not have 1000's of satellites orbiting the ball earth?

I will concede my part if you will concede yours.

I just googled it and this is what I got

Can a satellite see a license plate?

Their resolution is about 3 feet. While satellites cannot read license plates, they can tell if a car has one.Oct 9, 2001
So there you have it. They claim satellites can see that a vehicle has a license plate. I would say that is close enough.

Elroch - So, I admit I was wrong. They claim satellites can see license plates. I would say that's close enough for the point(s) I was making.

RonaldJosephCote

The resolution statement is from 2001...surprise.....I'm sure their resolution has improved in 22 yrs. I also believe the're just not gonna release some top secret info.  Maybe THIS will help......                          https://www.yahoo.com/news/spacex-astronomers-come-agreement-reducing-160044423.html

No, you were wrong because they (anyone of any relevance) DO NOT claim satellites can READ license plates.  It was your assertion that they DID claim this that I pointed out was false.

Here is your assertion, just to avoid any ambiguity

noodles2112 wrote:

They claim to have satellites further out than the ISS that can zoom in and track things on earth and even read a license plate number [...]

I am sure you will like to make the correct acknowledgement (I am sure that was just an accident)

noodles2112

I did correct it. Did I not?

Google it yourself and see.

They(is whoever claims to have satellites in outer space, mainly NASA) and the search resulted in claiming satellites can zoom in and view "if a vehicle HAS a License plate". That is more than enough to prove my point.

Who claims to have satellites less than 250 miles above the earth? Typically those who claim to have satellites in orbiting earth are much further than 250 miles out, usually some 400 - 900 miles out.....so they say.

Be that as it may, my point was that if they have the capability to view such things at those distances from space on earth than Why Can't they view one of their own rockets that are MANY times larger than a car/vehicle?

Here is how they do it whether one wants to believe in NASA outer space adventures or not.

They launch a rocket. 1 or 2 minutes later they switch to CGI/Cartoon animations allegedly a facsimile of that rocket. Then some 20 hours later(approximately 1 day) they allegedly show it docking at the ISS.

Did I leave anything out?

Addendum: I am also mistaken, in that, what most people do not know is that NASA etc. do claim to have satellites via helium balloons that traverse over the face of the earth. However, they do not go out of their way to inform the public nor do they inform them that NASA is the largest consumer of helium on earth.

Ancient Aliens recently pointed out that Elon Musk is naming his biggest rockets as..."Dragon"....surprise what a coincidence. wink

noodles2112

SpaceX's CEO, Elon Musk, named the spacecraft after the 1963 song "Puff, the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary, reportedly as a response to critics who considered his spaceflight projects impossible. Early on, it had actually been named Magic Dragon, and t-shirts had been printed with this name.

Clearly a reference to Musk's very public liking for the waccy baccy. Being able to give spacecraft silly names is one of the perks of being the world's second richest man. And he didn't become so by fooling the world that space flight was possible. grin.png

Worldview 3 satellites can read license plates.....launched in 2014.                                                           https://www.techtimes.com/articles/12938/20140813/digitalglobe-launching-hi-res-satellite.htm

I pointed out your first post was false.

The modified one about being able to see license plates is unclear but probably possible as that is on the very limit of known resolution. It is not controversial that "one foot resolution" (in old money) is achieved. But note that a license plate would be just one different colour pixel in such an image, so not very informative.

Achieving higher resolution runs into the challenges associated with the physics. Roughly speaking, to double resolution a mirror needs to be twice the diameter and four times the area, but with the same precision of surface - 10 nm accuracy, about 100 atoms width.
For example the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) in 1990 had a 2.4 meter main mirror. The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) in 2022 had a 6.5 meter diameter main mirror (less than 3 times the diameter) and had initial cost ($10B) about 5 times higher than HST.

This comes from the 1998 movie "Enemy Of The State" with Will Smith & Gene Hackman. When people hear that kind of dialog in a movie, they tend to believe anything. meh

RonaldJosephCote

The technology prior to 1998 was keyhole satellites....

noodles thinks Capricorn One is a documentary. Seriously.

Capricorn One - I never said that. I said the script was originally about faking a moon mission so they changed it up to faking a Mars mission for obvious reasons.

However, Keanu Reeves said the Matrix was a documentary. One interesting fact about that movie was his drivers license expiration date was Sept, 11 2001. The movie came out in 1999.

Yeah, they certainly don’t want to hear what I have to say regarding co19 fabricated CRAPOLLA and the slight beginning geneside that happened, this here thread… is exactly why btik blocked me on his sad thread regarding. =/
