well, we know what 200 years ago was...would we know what 200 years would be like if we had to choose?

JJM, are you sure that the world will exist in the next 200 years?

I choose to live 200 years back in time. In this case, you would definitely learn a slightly different history in the books ...

but if you go back, you could quite possibly change the future to even make a better future 200 years from now.

200 in the future will be more advanced and could be interisting 200 back would also be challangeing. 

Imagine how suffocating to know everything as if today, back two centuries ago!

No one would understand sh*t. xD

However, 200 years in the future, well, one might look stupid as hell.

It's a classic "would you rather"   it's awesome.

200 in front could be better than the present, but no guarantees.  Historical progress hasn't always followed an upward curve on the graph.  Going back would be interesting to see the difference from what we've been taught and what life was really like; I agree with sasak.

With this knowledge of chess, I might have been a candidate for the World Chess Champion 200 years ago. Lol.

I would go back in time. I could be the only Super GM of the 19th Century and probably invent sliced bread as well while I was at it.

Both trips would be difficult, but you'd be better off with foreknowledge.

Back in time. With the knowledge of the present, i.e. 200 years in the future!
