It's similar to this thread; however, it is for out-of-context comments that are NOT from Chess.com.

In this thread, take random comments on OTF out of context. It does not have to be in OTF, but it must be in some form on Chess.com. There is also a leaderboard at the bottom, showing how many of your comments have been posted here!

If I react with this emoticon (), that means that it's the post that I left off from when I finish updating the leaderboard. (This is so that I don't have to post a comment every time)

Rules

• Rule 1: Avoid self-posts, it's just kinda lame to do that. If your screenshot contains multiple people, including yourself, then that's an exception. (Or unless it's really funny)

• Rule 2: No sharing private DMs, unless the other person is okay with it. If you think it's really funny, but don't know if they are okay with it, then censor their username and profile pic. Just show the comment.

• Rule 3A: Don't spam or make "freaky" comments in other threads just to get posted here. It's just a cheap move, and we shouldn't hurt other forums. (Basically, no hijacking threads)
• Rule 3B: This rule doesn't apply to threads that are specifically meant to be freaky, but I'd advise against posting stuff from them, since those threads are "technically" against TOS.

• Rule 4: This is a CHILL THREAD! Do not fight with other commenters. Reminder that there are real people behind those profiles!

• Rule 5: Avoid posting extremely freaky comments here, since it's what got this thread locked on May 17th.  If you do post something that seems to be way too freaky for this thread, I will ask you to delete it.
• General rule of thumb: "If I were to write this screenshotted comment in the forums, would I get myself muted?" If the answer is yes, then don't post it.

• Rule 6: Please cover and censor any swear words in your screenshot.

Here are also a few guidelines for posting! You do not exactly have to follow them, but it'd just be nice to.

• Guideline 1: Please post screenshots, not just quotes. It just looks better that way. (Also, make sure to crop the screenshots so that only the comment(s) you want is shown)

• Guideline 2: I'm not entirely sure how I should handle Club notes or Club comments taken out of context, so unless you think it's really, really funny, I guess just avoid posting them. (Clubs are often way freakier than OTF, so I wouldn't recommend posting them anyway)

• Guideline 3: Please attempt to refrain from posting that one specific image of Omni-Man. (That might be too much to ask if I'm being honest...)

• Guideline 4: The leaderboard is not a competition. It's simply a visualization of how many times a person has been taken out of context. Getting first place means absolutely nothing. (And you're probably never gonna beat @RealTactics960 anyway...)

• Guideline 5: It is up to you if you want to hide the subject's username and profile pic, but if you do, they will be put in the "Unknown/No name" category on the leaderboard.
