Welcome to OTF Out of Context!
In this thread, take random comments on OTF out of context. It does not have to be in OTF, but it does have to be in Chess.com in some form. There is also a leaderboard at the bottom, showing how many of your comments have been posted here!
Edit 2025-04-25: Alright, I'm gonna rework the way that this thread is done, since Basix's words have inspired me. Let's lay down a couple ground rules. They aren't too strict, but please just keep them in mind when posting. I'll only block you if you really screw up, so don't worry.
Rules
Rule 1: No self-posts, it's just kinda lame to do that. If your screenshot contains multiple people, including yourself, then that's an exception.
Rule 2: No sharing private DMs, unless the other person is okay with it. If you think it's really funny, but don't know if they are okay with it, then censor their username and profile pic. Only show the comment.
Rule 3: Don't spam or make "freaky" comments in other threads just to get posted here. It's just a cheap move, and we shouldn't hurt other forums.
Here are also a few guidelines for posting! You do not have to follow them, it'd just be nice to.
Guideline 1: Post screenshots, not just quotes. Mobile users get a pass, since they uh... Can't really do that.
Guideline 2: Please don't use the mobile app for this thread, use this link to go to the website! https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/otf-out-of-context
Guideline 3: I'm not entirely sure how I should handle Club notes or Club comments taken out of context, so unless you think it's really, really funny, I guess just avoid posting them. (Clubs are often way freakier than OTF so I wouldn't recommend posting them anyways)
Guideline 4: Please refrain from posting that one specific image of Omni-Man. (But that might be too much to ask lol...)
