With my tight schedule with school, work, and pampering my wife, Ari, I got a call from someone who said that they needed a wedding officiant for their wedding, since the one they had previously made an arrangement with had bailed on them unexpectedly. I only agreed to be here because I was promised cake and food if I did them this favor… in which case the deal was sealed. Anyway…
I’d like to welcome you to the wedding of @Iconic-Pink and @Iconic-Apples, a soon-to-be husband and wife. They’ve known one another for an entire year, which they both have decided was more than enough time to decide to commit their lives to one another on the internet. They first met due to harassing a popular troll named Baby, and speaking Portuguese — a cute story they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. 31, their wingman, had decided to recommend them to marry one another, and they agreed that their love could not go without a ring (or maybe 7?) For their honeymoon, they’ll be heading down to the tropics of Brazil, where hopefully the weather is nice, and they can splurge a ton of money on fancy cuisine, and maybe drink out of a pineapple. Hopefully, all goes well in that regard.
Love is the quiet courage to choose each other every day, even when life gets complicated or uncertain. Marriage is the promise to grow together, to listen patiently, and to support each other with kindness in both joy and difficulty. Today, you start a life built on shared laughter, honest conversations, and the strong belief that your future is something you will create together. May this commitment be your shelter, your adventure, and the place where both of you become even more like yourselves.
Pink and Apples, I wish the very best for your relationship, and for it to live on for the rest of your adult (oh wait…) lives. Hopefully, you keep each other entertained, happy, and remember that finding your wife/husband annoying is completely normal. May you two finally reach the ‘arguing over who does the dishes’ stage in your marriage, and enjoy every step along the way. If you decide to add to the population, hopefully he or she gets mostly Pink’s genes.
Enjoy your trip down Honeymoon Avenue. You may now kiss the bride.
Did I ramble on a little too much there? Oh well…
