Thanks Ruixa, I enjoyed that video, "A Journey Through Iceland".  The landscape there is stunning!  And the music soundtrack seems a good match for the imagery.  Coincidentally, I last night watched "National Geographic -- Draining the Ocean", which explains how Iceland's geology results from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge being at the surface (instead of deep under the ocean, as most of it is).  With all it's hot springs, and magma just below the surface, Iceland might more appropriately be caled "Fireland".

Indeed, i'm fascinated with Iceland, but ,the language must be a problem to live there, of course xd.

Anyway, it wasn't probably the best choice to put the song, as Mono are a japanese band, Sigur Ros would be more suited for that, xd.

Here is a new favorite artist of mine.  I mostly prefer female vocalists.

I hear that the Icelandic language is not easy to learn (I wonder if Bobby Fischer learned it during the few years that he lived there?).  As for the music, even though most suggestions in this thread will have vocals, really any form is welcome.  Just enjoying having my horizons expanded.

Didn't Eric Clapton start out his career with the Yardbirds?

Yes, and Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck too!  Clearly, the Yardbirds were one of the most influential of the early rock bands.

Not to be confused with the Byrds:
