As of now I think it'll be a round-robin tournament where everyone plays everyone else once. Everyone has total points which will get updated after every match. Then we'll have a ranking at the end and the winners!

The most realistic outcome is everyone defects and gets one point every time, bc we would think they would defect so we would defect but then they would think we would defect so they wouldn’t cooperate and we both get one point each time

No, not really. Then they would know they won't get a lot of points while other players cooperate to get a bunch of points and end up with more.
#37, ok then, but if I always defect I know for sure I will get at least one point
